Dr. Baljinder S. Gill, DC

Baljinder S. Gill D.C., a Washington native, returned to the evergreen state after completing his studies in California. Dr. Gill D.C. earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Pacific in 2010 and went on to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2013. Dr. Gill D.C. always wanted to be in the medical field.

He initially pursued the pre-dental program but during his undergraduate studies at Pacific, he learned more about how chiropractic can help others and became very intrigued.

“Healthcare is my passion, and I chose chiropractic because it is a non-invasive way of helping others become healthier and maintain a better lifestyle.”

During his time at Palmer College, Dr. Gill D.C. was very involved with helping advance the chiropractic profession. He served on the national board for the Student American Chiropractic Association for two consecutive terms and received numerous honors and awards.

“My motivations to become a chiropractor are driven by the idea of being able to make a positive difference in the lives of others.”

After completing his residency and post-graduate training at Chirocare, Dr. Gill D.C. accepted a position at the Bellevue Pain Institute. There he received advanced training in working with complex spinal disc cases utilizing cold laser and non-surgical spinal decompression therapy. While at the Bellevue Pain Institute, Dr. Gill D.C. pioneered new treatment protocols for diabetic and peripheral neuropathy. He continues to host seminars to help educate patients.

Dr. Gill D.C. returned to his hometown in May 2016 and founded Symmetria Integrative Medical. He and Dr. Samra-Gill D.C. plan to grow and expand the clinic to offer additional services to their patients and the community.

CEO & Executive Director

Dr. Lavleen K. Samra-Gill PhD, MPH

Lavleen K. Samra-Gill is the Clinic Manager of Symmetria Integrative Medical. She completed her doctoral degree in Public Health, with an emphasis on Health Behavior and Epidemiology at Indiana University. She completed her Master’s in Public Health with a focus in Behavioral, Social, & Community Health in 2016 from Indiana University.

She received her Bachelor of Science with a concentration in psychology in 2012 from Indiana University-Purdue University.

Lavleen was previously an Assistant Professor at Indiana University and Project Manager of several research studies at IUPUI and IU, all with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention in community-based settings.

Lavleen’s research focuses on behavioral, social, and cultural factors that impact chronic disease risk and management. Her focus at Symmetria is to create and foster a health care model that places the patient at the heart of care. Her passion has always been in healthcare and non-invasive healing treatments focusing on fixing the cause rather than patching the symptoms. She began her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and saw the physical and emotional side effects of physical pain.

Seeing the repercussions of medication abuse and the emotional ramifications of reduced quality of life, prevention became a driving force in her career. Moreover, her training and education led her to look deeply at the impact of nutrition on chronic disease and physical medicine. At Symmetria, Lavleen strives to provide an environment where the determinants of healthcare are minimized and patient-centered care is reformed.

Her mission is to advance Symmetria Integrative Medical into the gold standard of healthcare through individualized, evidence-based treatment therapies. Her emphasis on community wellness and health promotion and prevention are the fundamental characteristics of Symmetria Integrative Medical.

Naturopathic Physician

Dr. Alissa C. Bill, ND

Dr. Alissa C. Bill is a Naturopathic Physician, injection specialist, and aesthetic procedures specialist here at Symmetria Medical. She was born and raised in the Greater Northwest and earned a Bachelor of Science from Bastyr University in 2014 with a focus on Integrative Human Biology.

Dr. Bill continued her education at Bastyr University and obtained her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine in 2018 with a strong emphasis on physical medicine, injection therapies, nutrition, and digestive health. Her passion is helping patients take control of their pain and helping them through injection and nutrition therapies.

Prior to Naturopathic medicine, Dr. Bill started her medical career as a Certified Nursing Assistant working primarily with patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Dementia. She then moved on to work as an Endoscopy Technician at a local hospital seeing first-hand the importance of gut health and the significant role it plays in whole-body health. Both jobs played a pivotal role in Dr. Bill's outlook on our healthcare system. She saw firsthand the importance of treating the whole person, finding the source of dysfunction rather than treating only the symptoms of a problem, as well as focusing on diet and lifestyle modifications.

Aside from medical practice, Dr. Bill loves spending time with her family and kids, traveling, and being outdoors.

Naturopathic Provider

Dr. Pin-Hsuan Cheng, ND

Dr. Pin-Hsuan Cheng is a licensed Naturopathic Physician with a doctorate from Bastyr University, where she received comprehensive training in both conventional medical sciences and natural therapeutics. Her philosophy is grounded in the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal itself when provided with the right tools and support.

Dr. Cheng has a strong passion for hands-on therapies, including physical medicine, craniosacral therapy, and dry needling. She is particularly interested in integrative approaches to pain management and is dedicated to helping patients restore function and vitality through gentle, evidence-informed care.

At Symmetria, Dr. Cheng looks forward to applying her clinical skills, positive energy, and commitment to whole-person healing. She values collaboration and is excited to grow within a team that shares her vision of compassionate, integrative healthcare.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Cheng enjoys spending quality time with her family and connecting with animals. She finds joy and balance in the company of loved ones and animals, which brings her a sense of grounding and happiness.

Dr. Jin Beom (Paul) Choi DC

Dr. Jin Beom (Paul) Choi DC graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, in 2024. Having lived in various parts of the world, he's gathered a wealth of experiences that shape his unique perspective. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from his undergraduate studies in Kansas.

Dr. Choi's passion for chiropractic care ignited after a golfing mishap left him with a pinched nerve. Through effective chiropractic treatment, he found relief and decided to dedicate his career to this healing art.

He selected Symmetria Integrative Medical for its lively and positive atmosphere, where he feels right at home. Outside the clinic, you can often find Dr. Choi on the golf course or exploring the great outdoors. Fun fact: he's a two-time NAIA All-American Golfer!

Dr. Jin-Ho (Peter) Choi DC

Dr. Jin-Ho (Peter) Choi DC is a chiropractic physician who graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, on February 23, 2024. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas, which he earned in 2019.

Dr. Choi's fascination with chiropractic care began in South Africa when a chiropractor successfully treated his father's severe low back pain, which had made walking impossible after a golf tournament. Medical hospitals could only offer painkillers, but a chiropractor's intervention over a few weeks restored his father's mobility and alleviated the pain. The same chiropractor also effectively treated Dr. Choi's brother's persistent pinched nerve pain.

Curious and inspired, Dr. Choi decided to try chiropractic for his own neck and back stiffness. The immediate relief he experienced and the chiropractor's ability to produce tangible results sparked his passion for the field. Noticing the chiropractor's Palmer College diploma, he inquired about the school, which led him to pursue his studies there.

Dr. Choi is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of his patients' daily lives. In his free time, he enjoys learning new skills, weight training, listening to music, reading, and playing games. Additionally, he is a two-time Srixon/Cleveland Golf NAIA All-America Scholar.

Dr. Eric R. Hughes ND

Dr. Eric Hughes is a Naturopathic Physician here at Symmetria Medical. He was born and raised in Everett, Washington, and earned a Bachelor of Science from Washington State University in 2013 with a focus on Basic Medical Sciences.

Dr. Hughes continued his education at Bastyr University and obtained his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine in 2019 with a strong focus on physical medicine and physical rehabilitation.

During his time at WSU, Dr. Hughes was striving to find out how to live a healthier lifestyle through food and exercise. During his extracurricular studies, he had heard about Naturopathic Medicine and realized that he could share the very aspects he was practicing and applying in his own life in a medical setting different from the conventional medicine model. From that moment on, he knew that he wanted to become a Naturopathic Physician and work with patients from a holistic perspective.

In addition to his formal schooling, Dr. Hughes coached CrossFit for 7 years. He worked with, educated, and guided clients from all walks of life with the same purpose of wanting to become the best versions of themselves. He learned that making life-changing decisions requires patience, dedication, and perseverance from the hard work that his clients put in every day.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Hughes' passions lie in disc golf, where he is a sponsored professional player. In addition, he enjoys spending time with his wife Alyssa, and their dogs Brody and Milo.

Ashley Schuette is a chiropractor at Symmetria Integrative Medical - Marysville

Dr. Ashley Schuette DC

Dr. Ashley Schuette, a Washington native raised in the state, moved to Arlington in 2004. She attended Central Washington University, where she graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Justice, specializing in Legal Studies.

Subsequently, she enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic West and earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2018, with focuses on pediatric care, pregnancy, and TMJ disorders. Dr. Schuette holds certifications from the American Dental Association for TMJ disorders, Webster Technique, Cranio-Sacral Technique, and Activator methods.

Her passion for chiropractic care centers around working with children experiencing behavioral issues and neurodiversity disorders, as well as supporting expecting mothers and promoting essential neuro-development in newborns. Dr. Schuette is dedicated to providing everyone with the best opportunity for a healthy life.

Having seen a chiropractor since she was two months old due to a shoulder issue at birth, she prioritizes chiropractic care for herself, seeking treatment whenever she is injured or unwell to prevent future issues and enhance her immune system.

Excited to join the Symmetria Team, Dr. Schuette appreciates their diverse and holistic approach to patient care, which aims to provide individuals with the relief they need to live fulfilling lives. Outside of her practice, she is a passionate attendee of Comic Con conventions in Washington state, where she enjoys dressing up and meeting her favorite superheroes and characters from anime, TV shows, science fiction, and movies. One of her most cherished gifts was a Kindle from her wife, which she carries everywhere to read whenever she has a free moment.

Cheri Soraparu MS, CNN

Cheri has been a Licensed & Board-Certified Clinical Nutritionist for over 12 years. She received her Master's in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the UW. Cheri has always had a strong passion for helping others achieve their optimal potential through lifestyle change, she attends annual scientific symposiums and conferences and has taught countless community education classes.

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest gave Cheri a great appreciation for the intricacies of nature and from a very young she was inherently interested in how the human body functioned. Studying the power of nature, the body, and the mind solidified Cheri's notion that nature knows best and that our body heals itself when provided with the correct environment. Cheri works to identify each client's unique needs and supports them through the process while providing education, resources, and tools for success.

Her goal is to educate her clients and help them develop a comprehensive health and lifestyle program. Cheri believes that feeling good and achieving optimal wellness is accomplished by providing our mind with nourishing thoughts, fueling our body with healing foods and nutrients, optimizing our digestive and detoxification systems, and moving our muscles.

Tina Brewer RN

Tina, our newest Hydration Nurse at Symmetria, was born in Washington DC, and raised on the Oregon Coast. She later moved to the Seattle area, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Washington in 1992.

Tina's interest in medicine developed during motherhood as she explored non-toxic ways to manage her first daughter's common childhood illnesses. This journey led her to holistic medical care, with a pivotal experience with a homeopathic physician fueling her determination to deepen her involvement in this field. Tina pursued nursing studies and has since worked as an RN for 14 years, gaining experience in a Primary Care clinic, post-hospitalization rehabilitation, and most recently, Home Health.

Excited about using her nursing expertise to support holistic healing goals, Tina is dedicated to contributing to the well-being of providers and patients at Symmetria. Outside of work, she finds joy in reading, knitting, long walks, and caring for the numerous plants that inhabit her home. Tina, with her three mostly grown daughters, and husband David, is navigating the transition to an empty nest with enthusiasm and curiosity.

Ahram Hwang RN

Ahram, our new hydration nurse, is a certified practitioner in injections and IV therapy, born and raised in Washington with a passion for nursing that began in her youth. Starting out as a CNA in nursing homes, assisted living, and home care at the age of 18.

She then went on to work at a long-term acute care hospital in Kansas City while studying to become a nurse. With 12 years of nursing experience under her belt, she has spent 7 of those years working in various units at a hospital, including medical surgery, renal, and ICU, and the past 5 years in home infusion.

When she's not working, Ahram enjoys spending quality time with her family and indulging in her love of baking, specializing in decorated sugar cookies and macarons. She is also committed to furthering her nursing career by exploring different specialties, with a keen interest in aesthetics. Ahram is eager to help our patients feel their best with our IV infusions, facilitating their healing journey.

Abigayle, better known as "Abi," was raised in Arlington, Washington. She has been a part of the Symmetria family for over 4 years. During her time here, Abi has been cross-trained in almost every position at the clinic. When she was first hired, she started as a Laser technician, then shortly after she began training with the providers to be the primary Rehabilitation Technician.

Abi studied with ACE to get her personal trainer's license to learn more ways to help and support her patients' healing.

After a couple of years, Abi transitioned into training and cross-training new and current employees. She is now our Public Relations and Marketing Specialist. Although she misses face-to-face interaction with patients, she is passionate about educating the community about what we do and all the ways we can help.

When she is not making social media posts or scheduling patients, she enjoys spending her time with her longtime boyfriend and big German Shepherd, Leto. They have recently moved onto a 33' sailing catamaran and plan on adventuring the Puget Sound in their free time. Abi also enjoys swimming in the ocean, singing karaoke, and finding cool new places to eat.
